Cody Steele is a Los Angeles–based actor from Cleveland, Ohio, often compared to a modern-day James Dean for his quiet intensity and grounded presence.

He stars in the LGBTQ+ slasher feature MEAT, earning Best Actor at the Houston Horror Film Festival, and appears in Chris Stuckmann’s Shelby Oaks. A three-time Best Actor winner, his additional honors include the Hollywood Boulevard Film Festival and the New York International Film Awards. He was also named Best Actor by Cleveland Scene Magazine in its “Best of Cleveland” issue.

A Cleveland State University theatre alum and two-time Irene Ryan Award nominee, Steele began his professional career onstage as Romeo with the Cleveland Shakespeare Festival before transitioning into film and becoming part of the Cleveland indie scene’s rise. After returning home during the pandemic, he began producing his own work, expanding into a multi-hyphenate career built through independent film.

Now based in Los Angeles, Steele continues to build momentum in front of and behind the camera. He produces under Sweet Angel Boy Productions and stars in the upcoming feature FaceTape, directed by Manny Liotta.
